 The President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Olumide Akpata has used the occasion of the International Workers' Day to reiterate the need to protect and promote the welfare of workers in Nigeria. Representing the President of the Nigerian Bar Association during the Workers' Day celebration at the Eagle Square, Abuja, the Chairman of the NBA Bwari Branch, Monday Adjeh passed a strong message to all and sundry on the need to ensure that the rights of Nigerian labourers are protected and the need to pay workers their wages and benefits as at when due. The NBA President, speaking through his representative, Monday Adjeh pressed for an upward review of the minimum wage policy of the federal government and decried the poor health conditions labourers have to endure in order to carry out the tasks assigned to them.
