My name is Akpomiemie Monday Akpomiemie an aspirant into the position of the Publicity Secretary of the NBA Bwari Branch.

My aspiration is borne out from noticeable gap wherein the office of the busy Chairman has been burdened with addition of the portfolio of a publicist.

This is far from the standard practice. A Publicity Secretary is constitutionally saddled to disseminate information and news about the day to day running of the Branch, inclusive of using the office to create and maintain a good image of the Branch and its leadership at all times!

My pathway to achieving the above is to work closely with the Chairman of the Branch and all the leaders in their own rights in order for me to understand their thoughts and to put them in an acceptable way to the recipient of such content.

My role extends to one who could be trusted with his words because I should speak the truth of those whose information I pass on.

This is a reason why only a person who is articulated in speech, writing and confident with public speaking should do. I assure you that I am fit for purpose in these regards.

Distinguished Colleagues, it is on the strength of the above that I with humility present the following as my manifesto for your kind consideration.

I shall publicize the activities of the Branch and if the need arise assist the National Publicity Secretary of the Association in matters relating to events within the jurisdiction of the Branch:

I shall present a correct and positive image of our Branch to the public.

 I shall on the direction of the Chairman, issue Press releases and Statements on matters of general interest to the Branch as approved by the Executive Committee or in case of emergencies, by the Chairman.

Specifically, I shall also carry out the following agenda if and when elected via your support;

  BWARI LEGAL ICON.

Once in every month, a male and female member of our branch shall be selected to feature as the Bwari Legal Icon of the month.

This entertaining series shall expose members to know themselves better as we celebrate ourselves via that medium.

 NBA BWARI UPDATES.

It shall be a weekly update which shall convey every important event, happenings and certain personal events of members like birthdays etc.

On a weekly basis, we shall develop an electronic platform to inform our members on trends about the Judiciary within our jurisdiction.

I shall rely on updated records collated through the office of the branch secretary to bring some of these to reality.

I will liase with the courts to publish cause list for court within our jurisdiction.

NBA BWARI OFFICIAL HANDLES.

The world is a global digital village and our Bar branch will not lag behind the trend.

When elected as the Publicity Secretary of the Bwari Branch, I shall consolidate the official social media handles/accounts for our branch in all professional and relevant social media like LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, whatsapp/(business account to receive feedback) and Instagram which I will effectively manage to further project our noble branch.
